Coach Edwards at Red Bud Classic

Retired Varsity Field Hockey Coach Dorotha Edwards ran in the 2025 Redbud Classic over the weekend.
Coach Edwards, who turns 91 next month, finished with a time of 1:06. This is her 29th year to compete in the event.

Coach Edwards was instrumental in bringing field hockey to Casady through the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) and was a mainstay in Cyclone athletics from 1956 to 1988. She often attends field hockey games in the fall, so when you see her on the sidelines, know that she is always willing to talk about the history of Casady's athletics program and the strength of our signature field hockey program.
