Lessons and Carols

The Casady Community filled the Chapel Sunday evening, listening to the story of the birth of Jesus and enjoying our amazing Upper Division Choir during Lessons and Carols.
Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in this special night.

Lessons and Carols was first celebrated at King's College, Cambridge on Christmas Eve, 1918. It was an adaptation of a similar service that had been written for the cathedral at Truro in 1880. The lessons were reordered in 1919 and have remained the same ever since.

At Casady School, Lessons and Carols is held annually to prepare our community for the coming of Christ's birth on Christmas Day.
