National School Counseling Week

National School Counseling Week focuses attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors.
Here are some fast facts about School Counselors and how they help our Cyclones succeed both inside and outside of the classroom:
  • School counselors are certified/licensed educators who improve student success for all students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program.
  • School counselors are actively committed to helping students explore their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents.
  • School counselors help parents focus on ways to further the educational, personal, and social growth of their children.
  • School counselors work with teachers and other educators to help students explore their potential and set realistic goals for themselves.
  • School counselors seek to identify and utilize community resources that can enhance and complement comprehensive school counseling programs and help students become productive members of society.
  • Comprehensive developmental school counseling programs are considered an integral part of the educational process that enables all students to achieve success in school.
  • School counselors work with all students to remove barriers to learning by addressing students’ academic concerns, post-secondary options, and social/emotional skills.
Thank you, Emily Morris (PD/LD), Misty Reed (MD), Candice Bailey (UD), and Director of Student Support Services Samantha Kobs, we appreciate you!

This week also celebrates the incredible dedication of Casady's College Counselors, who go above and beyond to support students on their journey to higher education. Their encouragement, wisdom, and unwavering support make a lasting impact on every student they help. Join us in thanking our amazing college counselors for all they do.
