Chef Mary '99 Shares Joys of Cooking With First Graders

Chef and children's book author author Mary Payne Moran '99 visited with first grade Cyclones in Crabtree Library.
Chef Mary shared her book "The Vita Gang Mysteries Who Stole Vita D?" with the attentive Cyclones, as well as her journey to becoming an author.

Chef Mary has deep ties to Casady; she is a legacy, an alum, and an aunt to Maisie, a current first grader. She is an expert with 20 years of experience in the culinary field. For 20 years, Mary has taught children about food, health, and cooking, and she was the 2009 recipient of Casady's Young Alumni Achievement Award. She uses the Vita Gang as an easy way to connect with kids and teach them about healthy food choices.
